The Social Enterprise Awards recognise business excellence and significant contributions to society. Winning an award raises your profile, strengthens your brand and brings you new business. See what some of last year's shortlisted applicants and winners have to say about being part of the Awards.

Winning the Award for Social Impact last year was a brilliant boost for our social enterprise. As well as generating real pride in our team, it helped to our wider partners and stakeholders to celebrate our collective efforts - it's also been helpful in building our reputation further.

Tom Ravenscroft, CEO, Enabling Enterprise - Winners of the 'Prove It' Social Impact Award, 2017

We are incredibly proud of our Social Enterprise Award. We feel that we have been positively recognised for our relentless passion to inspire and motivate homeless people through our training programmes and within our social enterprise restaurant Brigade. Our clients, key stakeholders, influencers, trainees and apprentices are even more engaged with us because of this prestigious accolade.”

Simon Boyle, Chef Founder, Beyond Food & Brigade - Winners of the Education & Training Award, 2017

Winning the Environmental Social Enterprise Award in 2017 came at a great time for Belu because never has doing the right thing for the environment been spoken about so much in the public but also in the UK’s hotel, restaurant and catering sector, the market we serve

The award lends credibility to our brand for when we talk about leading environmentally in the water sector, and we hope that we’ll inspire others to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible.

The awards night itself was amazing; so inspirational hearing more success stories from social enterprise, and of course another big highlight was being awarded by SEUK Ambassador Michael Sheen!

Karen Lynch, CEO, Belu - Winners of the Environmental Social Enterprise Award, 2017

Winning the Buy Social Market Builder Award enabled us to raise the profile of our commitment to social enterprises both internally and externally to all our stakeholders, including the Executive Board and all our staff who were delighted that we were recognised in this way.
