12pm, Friday 2nd July

You can see Christiana’s slides here.

This webinar will be lead by Christiana Melam, the Chief Executive of National Association of Link Workers

Social Prescribing Link Workers are the creative disruptors reducing inequality and powering up integrated care to improve quality of life. This webinar will look at how social enterprises can realise their social prescribing potential as we continue to recover from the COVID-pandemic.

It will cover:

  • A brief overview of social prescribing and link workers roll out
  • Why social prescribing is social enterprise business
  • Opportunities for social enterprises to creatively disrupt

This will be followed by a Q&A session, so you will have the opportunity to put your questions to Christiana.

The main driver of the link worker model is a recognition that we need to move from admiring the problem to doing something about it. Evidence shows that the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities are largely dictated by a range of environmental and socio-economic factors. These factors are largely driven by social injustice and inequalities. These unfair disadvantages have impact on the overall healthcare system and quality of life. Let’s support people to live, not only survive.
