Richard has worked in the social sector for over 12 years in various management, senior management and non-executive roles. His passion is to use the power of business strategy, models and capital to create sustainable, positive social change. Richard has a strong track record in developing cross organisational and cross sector partnerships and is a seasoned international conference speaker on topics such as social investment, inequality and social impact measurement. He has an MBA from University of Cape Town and London Business School including specialties in social enterprise, corporate finance, negotiation and organisational behaviour.
Richard is also the chair of Social Value UK, co-chair of Social Value International, a member of the Mears Group PLC Social Value Board and co-founder of Cornerstone Place, a social enterprise dedicated to improving the provision of fit for purpose accommodation for the homelessness sector while helping charities to build net assets and unrestricted income. He lives in Sussex with his wife and their four children.
