Jane is co-Director of Result CIC, a coach, trainer and public speaker.

An orchestral musician, Jane became profoundly deaf in early adulthood. She went on to work as a lecturer, academic editor and the first deaf person to become a British diplomat at her level. Her decade’s work as a diplomat included leading a Political/Military and Public Affairs team on a posting to Poland. A state school graduate of Cambridge and the Open University, with an ILM diploma in Executive coaching and mentoring, she has been a coach for over 10 years including working internally at the Foreign Office and as a leadership coach for Disability Rights UK.

Jane’s governance experience includes being Chair of DaDaFest (Deaf and Disability Arts) and working on the Board at Disability Rights UK, Manchester Deaf Centre and Unlimited Potential, Salford. She is currently an elected Board member for the Arts Marketing Association. Jane received several national awards for her work in Poland on legislative reform to improve rights for disabled people. In 2018 she was awarded an honorary fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University for her contribution to disabled people and disability rights.
