Colin Jess Social Enterprise Futures

Colin has held the role of Director of Social Enterprise NI since June 2016. Prior to that he worked in local banking in Belfast for over 30 years, initially with Chase Bank Ireland and then Ulster Bank, where he held the position of Senior Manager Business Banking before leaving in March 2016.

Colin is a former Board Member of Women in Business NI and held the position of Chair of the Finance and Governance Committee. Additionally, Colin is Ambassador for local charity Start 360 and a member of the consultation group of Resurgam Trust.  In 2019 Colin was appointed to the Council of NI Chamber of Commerce where he promotes and raises awareness of the social economy sector.

Social Enterprise NI is the representative body for the sector and Colin leads on building awareness of the sector and its members across private, public, and educational sectors. Colin is heavily involved in lobbying political parties for their support and has built many relationships with government departments.

Away from work Colin has the position of a Board member of Glentoran Football Club.
