The July 2021 SEAP survey looks at the overall health of the sector and Government financial support for the social enterprise sector.

Key findings include:

  • There has been a drop in the proportion of respondents who have more than three months’ worth of funds, compared to the last four months.
  • 4% more social enterprises experienced growth overall in the last quarter and 3% fewer experienced reduced turnover.
  • Nearly a fifth of social enterprises have applied, or are considering applying, for the new government Recovery Loan Scheme.
  • A quarter of social enterprises say they don’t need finance at the moment.
