Social enterprises are businesses that are building a fairer, more equal society. Social Enterprise UK is the leading voice of the sector, representing nearly 3,000 organisations, working together to build markets, raise awareness and ensure the government recognises their amazing contribution and supports the sector to grow.

We are offering a position for a young marketeer who is passionate about building a more equal society who can support us in promoting Social Enterprise UK, our membership, programmes and events as well as the social enterprise sector as a whole.

You will be working with the marketing and membership team to develop your skills in marketing and support the organisation by creating eye-catching content, building and engaging our online community and supporting in the delivery of our flagship events, the Futures digital conference and our annual UK Social Enterprise Awards. Your work will contribute to delivery of world class events, and promotion of our activity online to help build a movement of those supporting the social enterprise sector.

18 to 24 years of age

The Digital Marketing and Events Assistant Role:

You’ll be joining the team as a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant and will receive training in the world of Marketing, the role will include;

Working closely with an experienced Marketing professional

Creating eye catching social media content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

Engaging with online community

Assisting with email marketing

Assisting with Membership marketing

Editing video content

Supporting in managing our web content

Support in delivery of our flagship events – Futures conference and UK Social Enterprise Awards

General administration

The Person:

No previous experience required

Confident individual with a positive can-do attitude

Demonstrates creativity

Good organisational Skills

A good understanding of Social Media Platforms

Experience in generating content for personal social media accounts

Any interest in Marketing would be a significant advantage

Able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and the Internet

Team player

Good communications skills

Willing to learn and undertake training
