Brief description:

Selnet, the Social Enterprise Lancashire Network, has been commissioned by Lancashire County Council to source and deliver essential household items to people, often in an emergency. This will be undertaken by a long-term, established partnership of furniture re-use organisations (FRO) who are geographically positioned to deliver the essential items across the 12 Lancashire County Council districts.

Selnet will conduct the initial applications and assessments and also offer an holistic package of advice, guidance and signposting which looks to improve the circumstances of an individual or family.

Selnet is seeking to appoint a full team to manage and deliver the scheme, starting with the appointment of the Scheme Manager. The Scheme Managers role will be to ensure we deliver an accessible, fair, and impartial service that effectively supports Lancashire residents at a very difficult time.

The scheme will launch on 1st December 2021 for a minimum term of three years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

You must have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and a strong track record of preparing detailed performance, progress and risk reports. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high-quality end-to-end solution for individuals and families who access this scheme.

To apply please read the job description and person specification carefully and tell us how you meet the criteria for the post by completing our application form.

The application form should be returned to opportunities@selnet-uk.com no later than 12pm – Wednesday 17th November 2021.
