Selnet, the Social Enterprise Lancashire Network, has been commissioned by Lancashire County Council to source and deliver essential household items to people, often in a crisis situation. This element will be undertaken by a long-term, established partnership of furniture re-use organisations (FRO) who are geographically positioned to deliver the essential items across the 12 Lancashire County Council districts.

Selnet will conduct the initial applications and assessments and also offer an holistic package of advice, guidance and signposting which looks to improve the circumstances of an individual or family.

The scheme will launch on 1st December 2021 for a minimum term of three years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

Scheme Manager The Scheme Manager’s role will be to ensure we deliver an accessible, fair, and impartial service that effectively supports Lancashire residents at a very difficult time.

You must have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and a strong track record of preparing detailed performance, progress and risk reports. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high-quality end-to-end solution for individuals and families who access this scheme.

Salary: £32,500 to £35,000 dependant on experience

Application Pathway Coordinator (2 full-time posts) The successful candidate/s will support and review applications for household goods submitted to the scheme, scrutinise the applications and present them, if eligible, for an award under the scheme’s offer. They will work closely with ours partners who will be referring individuals in crisis into the scheme and consider the difficulties some residents face.

Salary: Starting salary £22,400

Customer support Keyworker (2 part-time posts) The successful candidate/s will be an essential resource, offering a knowledge bank for customers accessing the service in order to help them break a cycle of crisis. This post will support customers needing additional guidance and direction to improve their lives.

They will develop a knowledge base of external resources that can support people in crisis and have an understanding of the difficulties some residents face.

Salary: £22,400 pro-rata
