Brief job description:

To support in the development and execution of a relationship based fundraising strategy for the period of 12 months.

Touch Network CIC is a not-for-profit organisation focused on real life stories. It works to tell real life stories in positive, constructive and empowering ways that in turn enables positive change, in individuals, communities, businesses and the public sector. Positive change includes improved mental health and wellbeing in individuals, reduced stigma and judgement across communities and businesses, and more effective public services.

    We tell our own stories of overcoming openly amongst our community and our colleagues
  • We run live real-life storytelling events
  • We run a storytelling online network – My Amazing Story
  • We work with statutory and voluntary sector on improving mental wellbeing across our region
  • We partner with NHS trusts and councils to offer support in embedding storytelling within services
  • We help to deliver national training and consultancy to statutory sector leaders on embedding stories at the heart of all their work

The main focus of the work is described below:

  • To focus on relationships, old and new. These relationships will be with local organisations, corporate representatives, government officials, community leaders, philanthropic trusts and, of
    course, our network
  • To develop strategies, in partnership with the founding Director, to encourage new or increased funding in line with our ethos
  • To attend community events, networking events and meetings to share about our network and invite others to join in, so our network continues to be diverse and inclusive
  • To explore grant opportunities and where appropriate, submit applications
  • To keep abreast of policy and funding developments across our sector in order that our work
    continues to be well informed and addressing a need
  • To encourage and support those who want to, raise funds for our network
  • To be creative in the way we promote and share our work
  • To support and encourage fundraising volunteers
  • To offer genuine thanks to those who support us, in a way that is right for them
  • To keep a close eye on budgets, expenses, and other financial data relevant to funds raised
  • To work as part of team, helping, listening and encouraging one another to achieve our aims
