Jennifer Exon will be joining Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) as its Director of Business and Enterprise.

Heading up the Business Development Team, she will be leading on the SEUK’s corporate market building work which includes the Buy Social Corporate Challenge, an initiative seeing some of the UK’s biggest businesses open up their supply chains to social enterprises.

Jennifer is joining SEUK after spending over seven years at Business in the Community (BiTC) where she has been working as their Enterprise and Culture Development Director. She also headed up BiTC’s arc programme which has supported the development and growth of social enterprises in some of the poorest communities in the country.

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Holbrook Chief Executive of Social Enterprise UK said:

“I am really excited that Jen will be joining us having worked with her at BiTC for many years. Jen will be bringing a wealth of experience of working with both the corporate business world and social enterprise – she understands the role it can play in bringing social benefit to corporate supply chains and in transforming the economic fortunes of local communities. She will be driving forward our work building markets for social enterprises – opening doors and creating as many opportunities for our members as is possible.

Her team will be pushing more companies to use their everyday spend on social enterprises as we continue to embed them in corporate supply chains. Jennifer’s work will be vital in shifting corporate attitudes and making the case for social enterprise as a fundamental part of a fairer, more sustainable economy.”
