Bikeworks was set up to take advantage of the market opportunity represented by the rapid growth of cycling and the potential this offered to deliver strong social and environmental outcomes through the social enterprise model.

Bikeworks is looking for an individual who will offer strategic expertise and strong financial management in a fast-paced, upbeat working environment.

Scope of the role:
The role will involve working with Bikeworks Director and senior management team in all accounting and financial matters. We require a Finance Manager to contribute fully to the development of the company strategy across all areas of business, challenging any assumptions made and being active in decision making with regards to business direction and focus as appropriate. The right person will be adept at providing strategic advice to Bikeworks senior managers, supporting and enabling them to make sound business decisions in the running of their departments, and providing excellent financial analysis for both managers and the board of directors as required.

Salary & conditions:
● £35k To £40k Depending on skills and experience (Pro-rata )
● 2 Days a week 09.00 to 17.30
● 25 days holiday (Pro-rata )
● Pension contribution
● Initial one year contract with expectation of becoming permanent and possibility of full time.

Person Specification & Job Description

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Essential:
● ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified with at least 3 years of PQE
● Excellent knowledge and proven application of EXCEL / Google Docs
● Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
● Ability to manage own time and workload in a very busy/hectic office to meet all required objectives
● Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy
● Highly-motivated with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success

Desirable:
● Line-management experience
● An understanding of and buy into Bikeworks organisational values as a social enterprise
● An interest and knowledge of cycling

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
● Providing and interpreting financial information to be sent to Bikeworks accountants for production of monthly management accounts, payroll of internal and external staff.
● Creating and monitoring the business cash flow forecasts
● Working with the Director and senior managers to produce annual organisational budgets & forecasts
● Ad-hoc project work as and when required
● Provide and present financial reporting to the board of directors at quarterly board meetings
