Andrew Joined SEUK in June 2020 as Part-Time Director Special Projects and Board Member having previously been Non-Exec Dir and Hon Treasurer. He is currently focused on obtaining a building as the heart of Social Enterprise in London in a collaboration with other Social Enterprise Sector leaders.
Prior to this, he spent 2 years as Director followed by 12 years as CEO of CAN, Mezzanine (Charity offices) and Invest (multiple social investment funds). Whilst at CAN he built and led the team to create a portfolio of 120,000 sf of social offices housing 1300 individuals in a “who’s who” of the Charity sector. At the time of his departure from CAN the portfolio acquired for £18m valued in excess of £40m with planning consent to take this to £75m excl.. leases and a healthy surplus for charitable work.
Prior to this, Andrew was based in New York as Executive Director easyGroup Inc. and V P Business Development for the easyGroup of companies. Reporting directly to Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, he was involved with franchising, real estate and a shareholder value dispute successfully concluding with the sale of the Groups NY listed Stelmar Tankers.
Since joining the sector in 2006 Andrew has held multiple Trustee / credit committee positions (UnLtd, Social Investment Business, UK NAB Impact Investment Practitioners etc.) He is currently:
- Chair of Foyer Federation
- Member of the GLA ESIF Committee
- Member of Charity Bank Advisory Panel
- Member Big Society Capital Innovation Fund Panel
and Chairs our Finance and Business Committee.
In his working career, Will has extensive experience within the social housing and education, training and employment sectors as well as the broader regeneration of communities. He has a passion for social justice and equality of opportunity.
In addition to SEUK, Will is a Board Member of ADRA, a housing association based in North Wales and of Access Training based in the East Midlands who offer apprenticeships and training for young people as well as adults.
