A partnership-focused social enterprise based in Brighton, has earnt a place in the top 5% of healthcare organisations to be rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
Here, a not for profit social enterprise owned by its staff and GP practices in Brighton and Hove has received Outstanding rating by the CQC report. The health care regulator, CQC, gave particular recognition for Here’s leadership and effectiveness within community healthcare. It is commended for its strong collaboration, team-working and its innovative and pioneering approach to care.

On 22 November 2019, staff and partners gathered to celebrate this achievement with patients and it’s NHS and third sector partners, as well as prospective parliamentary candidate for Brighton Pavilion, Caroline Lucas.
Here’s services touch the lives of over 1 millions citizens who might need support with mental health problems, conditions relating to their bones, joints or eyes, or help with the management of long terms conditions like arthritis. Delivering NHS services in partnership with other NHS trusts, including the Sussex Community Foundation Trust (SCFT) and Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (SPFT), and many other third sector providers. They deliver services in Brighton & Hove, Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex. Their integrated services put people at the centre of their care and remove the barriers and fragmentation that can occur in existing services. The practical solutions they offer to Primary Care helps over 5 million people nationwide by helping General Practices manage their workflow, ensuring citizen records are up to date and creating a more seamless journey for the people who use their service.
Founded in 2008, Here are owned by GPs, practice managers, nurses and their staff. Their partners include citizens, GPs and local healthcare practitioners, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), NHS Trusts, third sector providers, social enterprises, independent sector and other healthcare companies and community groups. They transform the focus of care from ‘what’s the matter?’ to ‘what matters to you?’
