12:00 until 6:30 PM BST time (London, UK time)

Private networking – Buyers meet Suppliers

The Virtual Events Experience the first social enterprise events agency specialized in virtual events certified by Social Enterprise UK joined forces with Break the Ice Forum the best B2B MICE industry networking Forum to launch the first CSR industry networking event in aid of Buses 4 Homeless a CIC social enterprise helping homeless people to reengage into society.

Matthieu Lagae, Founder of Break the Ice Forum shared the reason why to launch the event together:
“Break the Ice Forum partnered with Pamela Benitez from The Virtual Events Experience to create an online event for event planners to meet online event suppliers. The first reason is that we know personally Pamela having met her during our physical forums where event planners meet hotels and convention bureaus in a 2 days 2 nights networking event. We have been in support of the creation of her Social Enterprise, giving back 51% of her annual profits to benefit good causes. We wanted to help even more and so we decided together to bring the spotlight to a non-profit organisation that has had a hard time in this period due to budget cut of their sponsors and not being able to organise physical events. We were already in contact with Buses 4 Homeless as we planned to collaborate together on our April 2020 Break the Ice Forum live event in Oxford. At Break the Ice Forum we always try to help or bring attention to a social or sustainable cause: such as cleaning the canals of Amsterdam with small boats, experiencing in Hamburg what blind or non-hearing people are living, learning about global warming in Chamonix, creating bonds with refugees artist through workshops in Brussels and Berlin. We are really happy to help Buses 4 Homeless as they are doing an amazing job bringing homeless people in a 3-month program back on their feet and THE FIRST CSR NETWORKING EVENT FOR EVENT ORGANISERS The Virtual Events Experience & Break the Ice Forum joined forces to bring 120 elite event organisers to meet key online suppliers reverting 10% of the revenue to Buses 4 Homeless CIC a social enterprise supporting homeless people to reengage into society hope that more will follow as well for other social causes.”

Pamela Benitez, Founder & Director of The Virtual Events Experience added:
“Events should do more than only bring people together. There is a unique opportunity during events to use their audience “prime” time attention to promoting great causes relevant to our society and that sometimes can be forgotten… As a social enterprise with the purpose to reinvest 51% of the annual profits to promote different causes and help unemployed event managers to find a new source of income, reverting immediately 10% of the revenue sold was the right way to still create a fab event for exhibitors/sponsors while promoting the cause and giving back. Break the Ice Forum events always stand-out in the event industry for choosing activities that are CSR, reason why The Virtual Events Experience could only partner with Break the Ice Forum to bring to life this unique event in aid of another social enterprise, Buses 4 Homeless. Also to add, working with Matthieu and the Break the Ice Forum team as Kris, Sabrina, Charlotte, and co-founder Adrien is really fun! ”.

The Virtual Events Experience & Break the Ice Forum are really proud to announce that Hubilo a leading Virtual and Hybrid event platform in the events space helping organisations across the world reimagines the future of events and navigates an emerging event landscape will be the event main sponsor. Vaibhav Jain, CEO of Hubilo described why they decided to join this event:
“We have all have witnessed the devastation caused by the pandemic to the events industry, at large. The least we could do as a stakeholder in the events value chain is to give back in any capacity during this stressful period.
We are very happy to follow the lead by Break the Ice Forum. Its ‘Buses 4 Homeless Networking & Charity Online’ event along with The Virtual Events Experience is exactly the kind of partnership we were looking for. We are extremely pleased to host the event on Hubilo and learn more about some of the vital needs of the community. I am sure we will come of this profoundly enlightened”.

Dan Atkins, Founder of Buses 4 Homeless CIC added:
“The Break the Ice Forum is a fantastic way for companies and event organisers to come together and support social enterprises like Buses 4 Homeless, and the work we do with those who need it the most. A BIG thank you for all companies and teams behind it.”

We are hoping to raise as much as possible to Buses 4 Homeless and looking forward to this amazing event industry event.
