Bevan Healthcare is delighted to announce that Emma Perry will be joining as Managing Director from 1st August 2021. Perry brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously held the position of Executive Director of The Big Life Group, one of the largest Social Enterprises in the UK. Perry also has an impressive background in social and education provision for families and children having been Chief Operating Officer for The Laurus Trust, an outstanding multi academy trust. Perry joins Bevan from her current role as Project Manager for The Coop Academies Trust.
Perry’s appointment comes following the decision of the previous managing director Gina Rowlands to stand down at the end of March. Rowlands led Bevan for 10 years and has been a driving force behind its success. Bevan is widely recognised for its pioneering approach to the provision of health and wellbeing care to socially excluded groups including people experiencing homelessness, sex workers, asylum seekers, refugees, gypsy and traveller groups.
Bevan Chair, Scott Darraugh said,
“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Gina for her hard work over the last ten years. Gina’s passion and commitment to Bevan has seen it grow from a small group of inclusion health practitioners to the award-winning social enterprise it is today. We are now ambitious to build on the success achieved to date and to establish Bevan as the exemplary provider of inclusion health services. We are incredibly excited to have Emma lead the team in this next stage in Bevan’s journey. Emma brings with her a wealth of experience and energy which will be invaluable as we continue to grow our services.”
Emma Perry said,
“I am delighted and proud to be joining the Bevan Healthcare team and to be building on such strong foundations at a time when we will be needed more than ever.
Having spent almost 20 years in the Social Enterprise sector developing and delivering a range of services including health and wellbeing; employability and children and family services I am excited to lead an organisation that is passionate about tackling social inequality and delivering the standard and quality of services that everyone should be entitled to. I look forward to getting to know the team in the coming weeks as we start our next chapter together and continue to make a difference.”
