Since 2011, we’ve partnered with WaterAid to reach people across the world with clean water, sanitation and hygiene. To date we have generated over £2.2M transforming the lives of over 146,000 people. We have an ambitious goal to achieve £1M net profit in just one year by 2018 and need a brilliant Marketing Executive to join us.

Belu is served in thousands of hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes across the UK. Belu is available in outlets as diverse as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Lime Wood Hotel, Jamie’s Italian, Leon, The Vineyard, Rick Stein Restaurants and Zizzi. We work with the places that want to make the best ethical choice when it comes to their water service.

Overall role purpose

To play an important role in delivering the marketing strategy and supporting business growth; assisting the team and taking the lead on projects and tasks across a variety of marketing activity.

This is a development opportunity, so you may or may not have all the skills required for the role. We’d like to hire someone who is quick to learn and has the raw ability to develop and learn quickly to be successful in this role.

The purpose of the Marketing Executive role is to play an integral role in delivering our marketing activity; from promoting our brand, to engaging our customers and other audiences, supporting the delivery of our communications plan to engage multiple audiences through brilliant storytelling, and supporting new customer acquisition and key partnership activity. 

You’ll be an important part of our marketing team and will work closely with the Head of Marketing, our Communications Manager, as well as being part of wider team including Business Development, Sales, Operations and Finance teams to support the future growth of Belu. In addition to your core responsibilities there will always be the opportunity to champion and lead new projects or initiatives.

You will represent Belu at external events, so we’re looking for someone who will quickly build confidence in being able to get in front of partners, customers and potential customers. This is an exciting role where you will learn about our market, sustainable business and put your energy behind adding value to our growth.  There is scope for the role to grow as your experience and learning develops.

Core responsibilities:

  • Managing the planning and execution of social media content and reporting across our channels increasing audience engagement.
  • Managing market insight and research, developing data to supporting the growth of the Belu business.
  • On-boarding new customers, ensuring our new customers receive a great first experience of partnering with Belu.
  • Development of tailored presentations and pitches and sales support materials to support our sales team.
  • Being an ambassador for the Belu brand, ethics and values.
  • Managing and responding to enquiries regarding events, and sample requests
  • Ensuring our data is updated and current on a regular basis.
  • Supporting the marketing team and other teams ad-hoc with any new opportunities that arise.

We’re looking for someone who is, or has the ability to develop quickly into being:

  • Social media savvy; a great communicator; you’ll be able to write engaging digital content from blogs to twitter posts.

The role is based at our Central London office in Hatton Garden, conveniently located within a few minutes of Farringdon rail and underground station and Chancery Lane underground station giving easy access from four tube lines as well a direct mainline station. Farringdon is also going to be a major interchange for Thameslink and Crossrail trains allowing fast direct access from much of the South East of England.

This is a full-time role. Normal office hours are 9am until 5.30pm and as a forward-thinking company we enthusiastically support flexible and remote working but you will also be required to do some out of hours working.

Salary starting at £19,013 (plus discretionary bonus). This will be reviewed on a six-monthly basis for the first two years with increases possible on the achievement of your personal goals and objectives as part of your development.
