Mark Sesnan is the MD of the UK’s leading leisure charitable social enterprise GLL, founded in 1993 as a ‘spin out’ – and which now runs 258 leisure centres & gyms, 113 libraries and 10 children’s centres across the UK.
GLL is a unique organisation that is simultaneously a Workers Cooperative, IPS Bencom, Charity and Social Enterprise.
Mark has extensive experience in leisure management having worked for many years at a senior level in local government and the leisure trust sector. He is Secretary of Sporta, Co-Chair of the London Social Enterprise Leaders Business Club and a Director of UK Active.
Mark has enjoyed 40 years in the leisure industry – without a day off sick – and has worked at every level from Poolside to Managing Director.
As part of his 60th birthday bucket list, Mark ran his first marathon.
