Elaine Lilley – Founder and Chief Executive of EBP

Since founding The EBP in 2001, Elaine has guided the organisation to become one of the UK’s foremost social enterprises (winning ‘Growth Champion at the Natwest SE100 2015 Awards), employing 48 staff over 3 sites, with a turnover of more than £8.5 million and a vision and mission in place to sustain and expand the company’s social impact.

The EBP is Merlin Standard accredited and its supply chain is carefully selected to ensure that it invests in organisations that share its vision of social impact and investment in young people. Elaine is committed to ensuring that the positive social impact of The EBP’s work spreads deep into communities and has a lasting effect.

Passionate about working in partnership with schools and businesses to help change and shape the lives of young people through employability and enterprise skills, Elaine has helped to put nearly 20,000 young people in 2017/18 on the path to better social engagement as citizens via improved social mobility chances.

Under Elaine’s leadership, The EBP is a significant NCS provider, making a positive impact in local communities and helping to shape the future of youth volunteering. Elaine believes in the power of social enterprises to transform lives.
