Key purpose of role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Big Society Capital as we implement our new strategy to improve lives across the UK. As a Digital Officer you will lead on developing compelling content across our digital channels. You will play an important role embedding user-led approaches into our website development and digital reports, and will work collaboratively across the organisation to help us build high quality digital engagement.

Key responsibilities 

This will be a varied role, delivering across a range of digital channels. Key areas will include:

  • Digital content creation and curation including blogs, podcasts, webinars, videos and infographics
  • Content management for the Big Society Capital website
  • Management of mass email channels
  • Mapping digital channels for campaign reach and influencing
  • Developing creative approaches to engage with varying audiences fromfinancial advisers tocharities.
  • Reviewing financial promotions and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Building relationships with digital colleagues in other organisations across the financial and social sector 

Experience

Essential

  • Strong relevant experience
  • Digital native with demonstrable interest in the latest digital developments
  • Open source CMS such as Drupal
  • Creative flair
  • Google Analytics
  • Strong writing skills, with attention to detail
  • Collegial, team player
  • Commitment to supporting positive social impact in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience and competency in:
    • email marketing software such as Mailchimp o video/sound editing o design packages including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experienceof financial servicesorinvestment management (in-house or agency)
  • Experience of working in social investment/impact investment
