News & Events Sector Jobs Board Digital Marketing Officer - Community Wood Recycling, Brighton Digital Marketing Officer Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: 18 - 20K Location: Based in central Brighton with some travel within Sussex to our other sites. Closing date: 25 April The role The Brighton and Hove wood recycling project (Trading as the Wood Store) is looking for a Digital Marketing Officer to join our dedicated and hardworking team. We are a successful social enterprise, diverting wood from landfill while providing a route back into employment for people recovering from addiction and mental health problems. This is an exciting new role created to support our expansion to three new sites in the area and the development of new, furniture and other product lines and services. Reporting to the General Manager, the Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for our website, blog, newsletter and social media channels - creating fresh, creative content and campaigns that build our brand and drive sales. You will work closely with the General Manager to create a content strategy and plan, using your design, photography and creative skills to create eye-catching, shareable digital content. The successful person will also design and produce traditional marketing materials such as leaflets, brochures, signage and point of sale for the shop floor. Part of the role will involve marketing our commercial shop fit work and collections services over the phone and face to face, therefore some experience in telesales would be an advantage. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and enterprising individual, with strong design and social media skills to gain experience across a broad range of marketing activities. The job may suit a recent graduate with a strong design background. Full training will be given. Key responsibilities Manage our digital channels, including website, blog, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIN & Google+ Plan, write and create campaigns and content across our digital channels. Set up analytics dashboards, monitor and report on the success of campaigns and apply learning to future activity Email marketing Produce marketing materials including leaflets, brochures, signage and point of sale. PHONE AND FACE TO FACE LEAD GENERATION FOR COMMERCIAL SHOP WORK Knowledge and skills Experience with CMS (Content Management Systems) like WordPress or similar Confident on the phone Excellent spoken and written English Experience with html, CSS and SEO Excellent organisational skills Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite: particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Premiere Pro Good working knowledge of a DSLR (camcorder would be useful as well) Good experience of using major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn & Google+), preferably in a professional context. Experience using Highrise would be an advantage Experience of running Digital Ad campaigns like Facebook business and google ad campaigns Experience of using email marketing software such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact. Experience of using google analytics and social media analytics such as Hootsuite. Knowledge of design and its applications when working with industry specific presentation (for print and digital) An interest in recycling, carpentry would be beneficial.
