In the run-up to our latest campaign – Buy Social for a Better World – in October, we’re profiling some of our fantastic members and the amazing impact they make.
Here we’re looking at Toast Ale, who use bread that would otherwise go to waste to brew delicious beer. Not only do they reduce food waste through their business, they also donate 100% of their profits to improving the food system.

We brew our planet saving beer with surplus fresh bread – to date we’ve used 1.4 million slices to avoid CO2. To date we’ve donated over £30,000 to charities fixing the food system. Raise a Toast. In October we’re running an exciting campaign to encourage consumers to buy from social enterprises, by celebrating what they do and the positive difference they make: Buy Social for a Better World. A central part of this is making sure the “Buy Social” badge is both widely recognised and used by as many social enterprises as possible.
