Base - Future Business Centre, Cambridge (with occasional travel to London and other locations) Hours – 0.7 FTE (25 hours per week)

Reports to – Managing Director, Business Viability, with a key relationship with the Director of Impact Finance

Background Allia Impact Finance connects impact ventures with investors. We provide the structures that enable charities, social enterprises and mission-driven businesses to raise debt finance and deliver greater impact. Our main activities include:

  • Retail Charity Bonds – a platform that makes it possible for charities to access mainstream investors through bonds listed on London Stock Exchange
  • Mini-bonds – creating unlisted bonds to enable borrowers to connect with their network of supporters
  • Scottish housing – working with the Scottish Government to provide unsecured finance to housing associations for the development of new affordable homes.

We are looking for a strong Brand, Marketing & Communications Manager to help drive business for Allia Impact Finance and reinforce our reputation as a leading pioneer in impact investment.

Who We Are Looking For

Allia is looking for a motivated, energetic and experienced individual to drive and deliver the marketing and communications strategy for Allia Impact Finance.

You will be passionate about the importance of brand and marketing communications to engage with a range of audiences and markets through a variety of channels. You’ll bring strong strategic insight that enables Allia Impact Finance to deliver campaigns that drive lead generation of organisations seeking finance and create engagement with investors.

You will have already held a manager role, ideally in the context of financial services, and be used to managing multiple products/portfolios. You will have a proven track record of developing and executing a strategy, manging the operational delivery including working with third parties, creating and managing budgets and the technical skills to hit the ground running.

Above all, you’ll be committed to using your skills and experience to support organisations that are working to make positive social or environmental impact.

Overall Objective

A key individual within Allia’s busy, ambitious marketing team, you will be responsible for understanding Allia Impact Finance’s strategic business objectives and translating them into a brand, marketing and communications plan which will drive lead creation and build brand recognition and profile.

Role Responsibilities

  • Effectively translate Allia Impact Finance’s business objectives into a strategic and compelling marketing communications strategy, understanding key audiences, driving lead creation, building profile and positioning within the impact investment ecosystem
  • Work with Allia Impact Finance’s Head of Origination to develop sales strategies and marketing collateral 
  • Identify key external events which could offer Allia Impact Finance a communications platform and liaise regarding speaking slots or other presence
  • Create and deliver campaigns to promote specific investment opportunities to target markets • Research, write or commission compelling content which can effectively position Allia as a thought leader in the social finance and impact investment sectors
  • Work with the other Allia marketing managers to ensure that the Allia brand is effectively reinforced and managed through all marketing activities.
  • Develop and manage a budget and ensure that all activity effectively provides a desirable ROI
  • Procure and manage work from third party / external suppliers and manage those working relationships
  • Work with Allia’s Marketing Officers and provide support to other team members as necessary
