A new partnership between Zepbrook wholesalers and Social Enterprise UK is making it possible for businesses in London to help provide employment for the homeless with their coffee orders.

The new Buy Social range from Zepbrook allows their customers to place orders for social enterprise products tackling a wide range of issues both in the UK and abroad.

Social enterprises are businesses that are changing the world for the better; like traditional businesses they aim to make a profit, but it’s what they do with their profit that sets them apart.

They are businesses set up to generate social outcomes through their operations, through reinvesting their profits back into their business, or donating these to create positive social change This allows them to tackle social problems, improve people’s life chances, support communities and help the environment.

Well known examples include The Big Issue, Divine Chocolate, Café Direct and the Eden Project but there are over 80,000 social enterprises throughout the country contributing £24 billion to the economy and employing over a million people.

Products in the Buy Social range include Toast Ale, made from leftover bread, who donate all of their profits to combat food waste; Belu water who donate all of their profits to Wateraid to fund clean water and sanitation projects and Change Please Coffee who create employment opportunities for those affected by homelessness, reinvesting their profits to help more people and create more impact.

The scheme allows customers to choose from a wide range of products, including, tea, coffee, water, beer, peanuts, soap and snacks all with a great social impact. Orders can be from as little as £25, for next day delivery within the M25 - with nationwide delivery also available.

  • Liberation Nuts – Buy their nuts from the co-operatives of small-scale growers and farmers who own a 44 percent share of the company allowing small-holder nut producers to earn a decent, secure income and plan for the future of their families and communities.
