Social Enterprise UK are hosting a roundtable that will explore how the Social Value Act could be increasingly relevant in supporting local and central government to tackle the pressing challenges of the day.

This roundtable is part of a research project, support by Power to Change, Engie and The Cordant Group.

The Public Services (Social Value) Act came into force in early 2013 and requires all public-sector commissioning to factor in economic, social and environmental well-being in connection with public services contracts

The recent Civil Society Strategy and the suggestion to strengthen the Social Value Act in the wake of Carillion’s collapse, make it timely and relevant for an open discussion about the use of Social Value Act and its role in government.

We will provide a tea and coffee from 10.30am – 10.45am, the roundtable will be held from 10.45 – 12.15pm followed by a lunch until 1 pm.

We do hope that you will be able to join us for what is sure to be an interesting and valuable discussion.

Please RSVP to [email protected]. Places are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
