** Project Uganda **

Project Uganda launched in July 2018 in collaboration with the Football-For-Good Academy (FFG Academy) in Northern Uganda.

This project will see the FFG Academy and HP develop a bespoke and sustainable long-term athlete development programme for aspiring footballers in the region to both protect the health and wellness of the athletes and optimise their on-field performance so they can realise their full sporting potential.

Our Head of Performance-Support; Dr Kellie Pritchard-Peschek and her team have already started a comprehensive audit of the Academy's performance-support provisions with a particular focus on the nutrition, sports medicine and off-field training provisions of the organisation before our scheduled boots-on-ground full team deployment in January 2019.

We’re incredibly excited to be working in the incredibly resilient Gulu region in Northern Uganda, an area previously marred by one of the bloodiest conflicts in modern history. An area rich in sporting talent, we are proud to be helping the footballers of Uganda carve their country a new identity and attract international attention for reasons other than war, poverty and disease.
