Launch of new Social Enterprise Network for Swindon & Wiltshire

The first gathering of a new network to support social entrepreneurs around Swindon and Wilts will take place on Thursday 25th May, supported by Social Enterprise UK.

The emphasis is on informal support and information sharing - each meet-up will kick off with a short presentation on a (very) relevant topic, and then we'll have time to network, share ideas and get advice and information.

Our guest speaker at the May event is Steve Glover, social entrepreneur and founder of the Severn Project.

Steve will talk about how he built the social enterprise, beginning with a disused plot of land, little to no growing skills and a small pot of money, into a successful and thriving urban farm working.

We'll also have a number of experts on hand to provide information advice on your specific questions and issues during the networking time:

  • Ashley Scott - Marriott Scott Consulting
  • Chris Crookall-Fallon - Cooperative Futures
  • Daniel Gregory - Social Enterprise UK

The event kicks off at 10.30am and finishes at 12.00pm. It is free to attend but online registration at www.theenterprisenetwork.co.uk/sesw is required.

The venue is Manor House Enterprise Centre, High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett SN4 7HH.
