As a result of Belu Water using Graduate Planet CIC within their supply chain, we have been able to reinvest the money raised through our recruitment services to financially support the Heart of England solar farms located just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

Belu Water is a water services company who are a British social enterprise and give 100% of their profits to WaterAid, the international development charity determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere by 2030.

Belu work with like-minded partners to continually push for improvements in their carbon footprint and are certified to the independent carbon neutrality standard PAS2060.

The Heart of England solar farms are made-up of around 60,000 solar panels generating equivalent power to supply 4,500 homes for 25 years.

The Heart of England Community Energy (HECE) is the UK’s single largest community energy company. it has been established to recycle its profits back into the Heart of England community by supporting local charities and projects with a positive social and environmental impact.

Their goal is to donate up to £2.7 million to good causes over the projects’ lifetime, focusing on improving the health of elderly and other vulnerable people suffering from living in cold and damp homes by helping them to access help with reducing energy bills and improving heating and insulation. This is one of 12 Mongoose Energy projects which initially raised the £6.5 million capital and initiated the formation of HECE to replace that with local investors and beneficial ownership, making this the largest community energy organisation in the UK.

This collaboration between three not for profit organisations will bring sustainability for people, planet and profit including a reduction in carbon from the solar farms, social benefits created through the community projects and financial benefits for vulnerable people within the community.

HECE, they are currently offering a 5% bond option, for more information visit HECEMongoose or contact Tony McNally [email protected]
