Social Enterprise Awards
The UK Social Enterprise Awards recognise businesses that give back, enrich communities and make a contribution to society, as well as those who lead them – the social entrepreneurs who use their business acumen to make a real difference, tackling social and environmental problems both in Britain and abroad.
The ceremony, on Monday 28th November 2016, gives social enterprises and their staff teams the opportunity to network with their peers, leading figures in the sector and our corporate partners. This year, political figures including the Rt. Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, and the Minister for Civil Society, Rob Wilson, will present awards to some of the winners.
To keep you entertained on the night, our host for this year’s event is comedian and two time Edinburgh Comedy Awards finalist, Nish Kumar. Described by The Times as ‘A comedian on the up…. An ingenious, witty look at identity that suggests Kumar will soon be getting known for all the right reasons.’
The venue this year is the beautiful Grand Hall in Covent Garden’s Grand Connaught Rooms, centrally located near Holborn tube (so you can make the most of the new all night tube service on the Central Line).
For those of you travelling from outside London, we have a partner hotel – the Green Rooms - which is offering our guests a discount on rooms, drinks at the bar and breakfast for the morning after! This social enterprise hotel is close to Wood Green tube station on the Piccadilly Line.
The Green Rooms is one of many social enterprise suppliers that we’re working with on the event. Our supply chain supports our Buy Social ethos and we are proud that the Awards showcase lots of social enterprises and their important work.
Are you a social enterprise that wants to work with us? Get in touch as we prepare for next year's awards in 2017.
Every year tickets to the Awards sell out very quickly, and so priority booking is given to the finalists, then Social Enterprise UK members, and then the remaining tickets are released more widely.
A limited number of tickets are now available on general release.
